Barry-Roubaix 2016

April 16th, 2016

Barry-Roubaix 2016 was a great time this year!  The Ken's Kar Kare Bike Team had a great showing, finishing strong in each of their classes.  Many know Ken Sr. and Ken Jr. as accomplished Master Mechanics who love everything off road and Jeep related but don't they also love everything adventure related expecially mountain biking.

The Barry-Roubaix is a gravel road race held every year in Hastings, Michigan which features coursed of 22 miles, 36 miles, and 62 miles of grueling gravel road, two track, sand, rocks, and mud climbs through the Barry State Game Area.  It is known as one of the toughest gravel races in the country, where 3,500 racers race through the woods and up super steep gravel roads.  The event is sponsered by Founder's Brewery and always draws a huge crowd into the city of Hastings to cheer on the cyclists crazy enough to take on the challenge

This year Ken Sr. beat Ken Jr. by 10 minutes!  Both finished great in the 36 mile course and had a great time riding together and spending time with other great friends throughout the day.
